Bringing Dystopia Rising back to the state where it first started, DR-CT Year One will be using the Dystopia Rising Live system.

DR CT - Year One, is not the national kick off for the Dystopia Rising Live system for the entire DR network. It is test of the system where the event starts a day early and ticket holders are invited to learn the system, test it in controlled sport scenarios, and be able to try out DR Live variant versions of their current characters.
On Thursday we will be allowing load-in at all hours, handling all check in, and running training and workshops for staffers and players alike. As day one comes to a close we will be sitting around large camp fires, resting, and preparing for the beginning of the event on Friday.
The event ends late Saturday night with Sunday having soft roleplay, small scenes, and post event socials.
Further scheduling information, with timelines, will be released closer to the event.
The story begins.
There are the scratches on the walls. The creeping dread that keeps you up at night. You can only run for so long. Eventually, they all get us in the end.
The Plot
Welcome to Saltwater Islet, one of the most isolated islands of the Wailing Shores. Small, picturesque farms dot the landscape, and a tiny village forms the center of a community made up largely of Landsmen.
This time of year, the islet becomes a bit more crowded than normal. It’s time for the annual corn festival, when the locals create corn stalk effigies of people to place on the shore, the Harvest King and Queen are crowned, and when traders from across the Wailing Shores visit for profit and opportunity.
But not all is well on Saltwater Islet. There is a rising tide of the undead. Be careful if you go out after dark. It always gets worse at night…

A Dystopia Rising: Connecticut, we always make sure to list the various themes of the game that you may encounter during play. However, we also rely on you as an adult to remove yourself from a scene that you are not enjoying. As we further define our event, we will update this list accordingly.
This is an 18+ game. We will be dealing with the themes of violence, zombies, death, cults, trading, festivals, the Mortis, isolated communities, murder, and cabbages.
Directions
The closest airports to site are Bradley International Airport, the Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport, and the Boston Logan International Airport. For more site specifics, check out Site Specifics to see recommendations on what you should bring for the event.
We have an active Discord community where you can coordinate ride shares. Please note that the ride share channel isn’t open yet, but you’re more than welcome to join our Discord and coordinate with your friends in the meantime.
When driving onto site, you will see arrows direction you to offloading. If you are arriving on Thursday, feel free to drive on site at any point. After Thursday, you will be directed to the parking lot to unload.
