Location and Logistics
Our event takes place on the beautiful Windham-Tolland 4H Camp in Pomfret, Connecticut. The 257-acre property, dotted with picturesque streams and a lake, plays host to updated cabins and facilities for our upcoming event. This includes an amphitheater with access to electricity, and other amenities.
Cabins each sleep up to 10 people in wooden bunk beds, so make sure to bring your own bedding or a sleeping bag. Each grouping of cabins has its own bathhouse, which include showers and bathrooms.
Since the cabins are rustic, they do not have electricity. However, we do have a cabin set aside for those who need access to electricity for medical reasons and would like to sleep out-of-character.
Our site is 18 minutes away from a Walmart Supercenter in Putnam, CT, so if you are a traveler, you have easy access to camping supplies and other items you may need and may have forgotten to bring.
Alternative Sleeping Arrangements
While we have plenty of accommodations for everyone on site, we understand that some adults may want the alternative of sleeping off site in a nearby location that has more privacy. With that in mind, we’ve listed several alternative sleeping locations in the area where you can purchase a hotel room or sleep in a historic location.
The Gwyn Careg Inn - a nearby, historic colonial revival mansion
The Dayville Comfort Inn and Suites - a relatively cheap hotel in nearby Dayville
The Inn at Woodstock Hill - a beautiful bed and breakfast located in Woodstock
Henrietta House Bed and Breakfast - A beautiful nearby bed and breakfast
